A gameplay trailer introduces the sprawling open world of Rockstar’s latest Grand Theft Auto. It shows several diverse locations covering areas such as mountains, oceans, and other parts of Los Santos.
Rockstar also featured three playable characters in a gameplay trailer. For the first time in GTA 5, multiple characters were introduced, each with unique personality traits and several distinct playable abilities.
A few months after this video was shown, the game was officially released for PS3 and Xbox 360. Over a year later, it was released for PC and next generation consoles, making it even more successful.
The game received extraordinary reception from the industry and won various awards. In addition, this release was a record for Rockstar Games: to date, GTA 5 has sold more than 180 million copies.
After an incredible launch, Rockstar introduced GTA Online to the game. This mode continues to receive updates to this day, supporting the latest Grand Theft Auto game on modern platforms.
